The defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos are finding out the hard way that keeping a championship team in tact is difficult, especially in the free agency era.
Fresh off the retirement of Peyton Manning, The Broncos lost their other quarterback, Brock Osweiler, to the Houston Texans. Both parties agreed to a four-year deal worth $72 million. The Texans weren't finished reloading their offense when they reached an agreement with former Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller. Miller replaces Arian Foster, whom the club released last month.
The Broncos now find themselves in search of a quarterback. Rumor has it that a potential trade involving the San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick could be in the works. Broncos Vice President John Elway has his work cut out for him. In other free agency news the New York Jets signed Matt Forte and the Los Angeles Rams signed free agent safety Mark Barron.
