Bosa, Chargers No Where Near Deal

The San Diego Chargers pulled their latest offer from the negotiating table, continuing contractgate with their first round selection, Joey Bosa. The Bosa camp argued that they want more guaranteed money up front, while the Chargers countered that only Carson Wentz has more guaranteed money offered than Bosa. Wentz was chosen second overall in the 2016 NFL draft, one spot ahead of Bosa.

The Ohio State All-American defensive end participated in rookie camp, but hasn't been seen since in a Chargers uniform. The chances of him being traded are slim to none considering the other 31 teams have already used their allocated rookie salaries for their own players. Bosa could sit out for this season and re-enter the draft in 2017. But one year without playing football could hurt him in terms of production and going through yet another contract situation.
